Our work often involves working with government.
On behalf of our clients we are regularly called upon to engage with Government, including negotiating with officials and Ministers. We have a strong record of engagement in this area, particularly in those portfolios involving Maori issues (such as Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations and Maori Affairs in particular).
We have also been asked to provide advice to government departments on various Maori issues.
Maori bid for Rural Broadband Initiative
Kahui Legal advised the Māori entities that formed part of a consortium to bid for the government’s Rural Broadband Initiative, through the establishment of a limited liability partnership.

These partnerships were established in late 2010.
