Kirikaiahi was admitted as a solicitor in 2000 and subsequently worked as a tax consultant with the global accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers where she provided a wide range of advice on taxation and related compliance and structural matters.
She was also involved in making submissions regarding the then proposals for the taxation of Māori Authorities and charities and preparing internal briefing papers on Māori Authorities taxation issues.
Kirikaiahi joined KAHUI LEGAL in February 2004 and has acted on a range of matters including appearing in several claims before the Waitangi Tribunal, advising on a number of settlement negotiations, advising on the establishment and structuring of a number of mandated iwi organisations, post-settlement governance entities and other legal entities, and advising on wills and administration matters. Kirikaiahi has also acted on a range of commercial matters including the development of Maori land, joint ventures and restructuring.
