Adair joined Kāhui Legal in February 2020 having started as a Summer Clerk in 2017 and continued as a part-time Law Clerk in her final year of studies in 2018.
Prior to joining the firm, Adair worked at Whāia Legal, Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu (Strategy and Influence team), and the Waitangi Tribunal in the registrarial team.
Adair holds a conjoint degree in Law and Arts (double major in Māori Resource Management and Japanese) from Victoria University of Wellington, certificate in Māori Protocol and Language from Te Wānanga o Raukawa and diploma in oral Māori language fluency from Te Wānanga Takiura o ngā kura kaupapa Māori o Aotearoa.
While studying, Adair was a recipient of the Te Rūnanga-ā-Iwi o Ngāpuhi undergraduate and Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Matakahi scholarships. Adair also served on the Ngāi Tauira (Māori students association) and Ngā Rangahautira (Māori law students association) executive committees.
Adair is known for being a hard worker and her drive to advance Māori interests by assisting the aspirations of whānau, hapū and iwi. She is particularly interested in giving practical legal advice on resource management issues, structuring entities so that clients can achieve their strategic ambitions and intellectual property.
Adair enjoys building on her te reo Māori, whakapapa and iwi mātauranga. She also enjoys spending time with her whānau and friends.
