Lana joined Kāhui Legal in 2017.

Lana holds a conjoint degree in Law and Arts (double major in Geography and Political Science) from the University of Auckland.

At Kāhui Legal, Lana has assisted on litigation matters ranging from the Waitangi Tribunal, Māori Land Court, Māori Appellate Court and High Court. She specialises in issues relating to Trust law including Māori land trusts and post-settlement governance entities; and matters relating to the Treaty of Waitangi, including historical Treaty claims and Treaty of Waitangi settlements. Lana has also advised clients in relation to corporate structuring and governance.

Prior to joining Kāhui Legal, Lana worked at the Office of Treaty Settlements as a technical land advisor and then as in-house counsel.
