Katie joined Kāhui as a legal intern in May of 2023.

At Kāhui Legal, Katie has aided on matters relating to IP, Māori Land law, general research alongside administrative tasks. She believes law can be a tool for equitable change, particularly for Māori, and looks forward to joining the profession as a lawyer upon admission.

She began studying for her Bachelor of Laws(hons) and Bachelor of Arts at Victoria University in 2021. Since undertaking her studies, Katie has been awarded the Top Māori Law Student and included on the Dean’s List for academic excellence.
